​​​​​​Southwest Custom Seating L.L.C., SCS, was born from a chance conversation between Chism Company CEO, Roy Chism, and San Antonio restauranteur and Chism Company client, Patrick Richardson.

Richardson recommended Chism  consider adding upholstery and custom seating lines to his company's already well established fabric and metal awning fabrication business. 

Chism listened to his client and a new business, ​Southwest Custom Seating L.L.C., SCS, was formed.

​The first pieces were handcrafted using an eye for detail and traditional crafts tools. From those first pieces forward the work has been well received.

"We've added equipment and technology and admittedly use modernization differently than most facilities - to the support and elevation of the craftsman and his quality.

New product groups and services have since been added... custom, solid wood tables, bespoke furniture, decorative screens, sound mitigation solutions, patio and poolside elements... all based around the common theme of delivering exquisite craftsmanship, eye for detail and high levels of quality and professionalism through the entire process.
